Karachi airport to require ticket copies to pick up passengers
Karachi Airport has introduced new security protocols requiring those arriving to pick up or drop off passengers to present a copy of their tickets.
This initiative is designed to strengthen security at the airport, and individuals who do not comply will be denied entry.
Under the new rules, all visitors must show their tickets when asked by security personnel. Each passenger can be accompanied by up to four people; however, those without a ticket will not be permitted to enter the airport premises.
Additionally, the Pakistan Airports Authority has stipulated that individuals picking up passengers must also have their identification cards on hand.
These measures have been implemented in light of recent terrorist incidents near the airport.
Officials from the Pakistan Airports Authority have stated that these steps are aimed at enhancing the safety of all airport users.
The Vigilance Department of the Pakistan Airports Authority is set to roll out a comprehensive plan to enforce these new requirements soon.
