New restrictions placed on sale of insulin in Pakistan

Under the updated health management system, registered diabetic patients will be able to obtain insulin using their National Identity Cards (NIC).

Potential shortage of insulin on the cards due to uncertain policies
The new guidelines stipulate that patients will be issued one insulin dose at a time.
Additionally, patients with disabilities will be allowed to collect their insulin through their blood relatives. These measures aim to streamline the process and ensure that insulin reaches those who need it most efficiently.
