Police launch investigation to find accused
Hasilpur’s son saved his father from the snake - Aaj News

A son, suspected to have been driven by greed over property disputes, tied up his father to a cot and allegedly had him bitten by a snake in Punjab’s Hasilpur on Tuesday.

The son fled the scene, according to police.

A rescue team transported the victim to the hospital, where he received treatment at the Tehsil Headquarters hospital. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to locate the accused son.

The incident highlights the extreme lengths to which individuals may go in disputes over property, raising concerns about family dynamics and legal repercussions in such cases.

On October 21, a man shot dead his two brothers over a property dispute in Odigram area in the jurisdiction of Rahimabad Police Station.

According to police, the land dispute frequently resulted in heated arguments among the brothers. They said following an altercation, Shakeel allegedly opened fire on his brothers, Ziaul Haq and Ehsanul Haq, killing both on the spot.

The police arrested the accused, who was found injured at the scene.

Earlier this month, two women of a family were killed and a man was injured in a shooting by relatives over a property dispute in Gujranwala’s Pind Gandam.
