Karan Johar, the renowned Bollywood filmmaker, has generated buzz with a cryptic social media post after finalizing a significant deal with businessman Adar Poonawalla.

This past Sunday, Johar shared an Instagram story stating, “Competition happens at the bottom. The people at the top are collaborating,” which many interpret as a nod to his recent partnership with Poonawalla’s Serene Productions.

The agreement involves Serene Productions acquiring a 50% stake in Johar’s Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment.

This collaboration is designed to produce high-quality content with global appeal, while Johar will continue to serve as Executive Chairman, steering the creative vision of Dharma.

The partnership comes at a time when Dharma Productions has faced challenges at the box office, prompting the need for renewed financial support.

Serene Productions plans to invest over ₹1,000 crore, combining its resources with Dharma’s legacy of storytelling.
