Pakistan secures $500m loan from ADB for climate protection

Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed gratitude to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for approving a $500 million loan aimed at climate protection initiatives.

During a meeting with ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa in Washington, Aurangzeb highlighted the bank’s ongoing support for Pakistan’s development agenda, particularly in enhancing safety measures against natural disasters.

The two officials discussed strategies to boost Pakistan’s revenues, foster regional cooperation, and expedite the completion of the ADB office in Islamabad.

Aurangzeb also conveyed hopes for the swift implementation of the ADB’s country partnership framework.
