IndiGO Airline says 10 of its flights received bomb threats
IndiGo Airline said that 10 of its flights received threats on Tuesday, prompting India’s top airline to divert its three international flights.
Around 50 flights received bomb threats, with the situation escalating daily, according to Indian media reports.
Airline officials report a shift in the pattern of threats, as various handles were targeting different airlines over the past few days. Previously, the “same handle” would issue multiple threats to several airlines, but now distinct handles are sending threats to a variety of carriers.
The government has claimed that it was taking measures to impose strict penalties on those responsible for these threats.
As a precaution, IndiGo Airlines said that at least three flights were diverted: Bengaluru-Jeddah (6E 77) to Doha, Kozhikode-Jeddah (6E 65) to Riyadh, and Delhi-Jeddah (6E 63) to Medina.
The airline confirmed that the aircraft were isolated and all passengers were safely disembarked.

The airline emphasized its commitment to the safety and security of customers and crew, stating, “We are working closely with the relevant authorities, and mandated checks are currently underway. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this situation may have caused our customers and appreciate their understanding.”
Other flights, such as AI’s Delhi-New York and Akasa’s Bangalore-Varanasi, were also reported to have received threats.
