Salman expresses reluctance to return to Bigg Boss after Baba Siddique’s killing
Bollywood actor Salman Khan has said that he did not want to come back to the reality TV show Bigg Boss 18 after the killing of his close friend and Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddique.
“Today, I feel like I shouldn’t have come here. I didn’t want to be here, but this is a commitment, so I’ve come,” he said in a candid moment on the show Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Saturday.
“This is my work, and I don’t want to meet anyone, not even you guys. But I’m bound to do this.”
The Indian Muslim politician was shot dead in Mumbai on October 19, weeks ahead of key state elections, with police probing the role of a notorious crime gang.
Baba Siddique, 66, a local lawmaker and former minister in Maharashtra state, was shot multiple times in the chest outside his son’s office in Mumbai.
According to reports Siddique was the man who revived friendship between Salman and another Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. The two mega stars have been seen in the late politician’s iftaar parties over the years.
Videos of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor visiting Siddique’s house went viral on social media.
During the episode, Salman had a heartfelt conversation with contestant Shilpa Shirodkar, who had stopped eating after a disagreement with fellow contestant Avinash Mishra.
As Shilpa became emotional, Salman asked her how she would feel if her daughter expressed her anger through food. The Gopi Kishan actor clarified that her frustration was aimed at Avinash’s behaviour, not the food itself.

In response, the Tiger actor advised her that she should not have any connection with feelings in the Bigg Boss house.
Later in the episode, Salman found himself in a heated exchange with contestant Arfeen Khan.
As the host attempted to emphasise the importance of listening to others, Arfeen repeatedly interrupted him.
Frustrated, Salman said: “I swear, with everything I’m going through in my life, I have to come and handle this.”
