Holidays cancelled for Parliament staff as Chinese PM’s address approaches
The potential date for Chinese Premier Li Qiang’s address to the Pakistani Parliament has been revealed. Sources indicate that a joint session of both houses of parliament is tentatively scheduled for October 14.
According to sources, Premier Li is visiting Pakistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Heads of Government Council meeting.
His address to the joint parliamentary session is expected to take place on October 14.
In preparation for the potential address, the Senate and National Assembly staff have had their scheduled leave from October 14 to 16 cancelled.
However, the final decision regarding the address is expected within the next few days.
