The moon of Rabiul Sani was sighted on Friday, therefore, the first of Rabiul Sani would fall on Saturday, October 5, the religious ministry said.

The religious ministry issued a notification regarding this after Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad’s announcement.

Azad presided over the session at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in Islamabad. Other members of the Central Committee joined their respective provincial or district Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meetings.

All relevant information regarding the position of the moon was shared with the officials including the moon sighting body chairman.
