Facebook has announced the launch of its new Content Monetization beta, a consolidated program designed to help creators earn money on platform.

This initiative merges several existing monetization programs, including In-stream ads, Ads on Reels, and Performance Bonus, into a single, streamlined offering.

With this new program, creators can monetize a variety of content formats, including Reels, long-form videos, photos, and text posts.

The calculation of earnings remains unchanged, with revenue based on engagement, views, and plays of the content.

Facebook has already begun sending invitations to one million creators who are currently monetizing on the platform, with plans to extend more invitations over the coming months.

Invitations will be communicated through official Facebook or Meta channels, including the Facebook app, Meta Business Suite, and the Professional dashboard. Creators interested in participating in the beta program can join a waitlist.

To enhance transparency, Facebook has introduced a new Insights tab within the Professional dashboard and Meta Business Suite, allowing creators to track their earnings across multiple content formats in one convenient location.

Once the beta period concludes, Facebook will phase out the existing Ads on Reels, In-Stream Ads, and Performance Bonus programs.
