Rajinikanth hospitalized for cardiac procedure in Chennai
Renowned Indian actor Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai on the night of September 30 after experiencing stomach issues.
The 73-year-old superstar is currently reported to be in stable condition.
According to hospital sources, Rajinikanth is scheduled to undergo an elective cardiac procedure on Tuesday, which will be performed by interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish in the hospital’s cardiac cath lab.
Fans and well-wishers are anxiously awaiting updates on his health.
Recently, the actor had been in Visakhapatnam filming his upcoming project “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and had returned to Chennai to attend the audio launch of another film, “Vettaiyan,” set to release on October 10.
At the launch, he appeared lively and even participated in a dance performance.
His hospitalization has raised concerns among his devoted fans, prompting messages of support from political figures, including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who wished him a speedy recovery.
Fellow actors and industry colleagues, including R Sarath Kumar, have also expressed their hopes for his swift return to health.
