Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari addressed the media shortly after the military announced that Israelis could safely leave protected areas.

“We are on high alert, both defensively and offensively. We will protect the citizens of the State of Israel. This attack will have consequences. We have plans in place and will act at a time and location of our choosing.”

He added that the military was unaware of any casualties and it was due to “your responsible actions.”
