A shootout between police and a group of armed robbers in Lahore resulted in the death of a notorious criminal, Jameel Ahmed aka Jeela.

The Organized Crime Unit were transporting Ahmed, who had a lengthy criminal record including murder, attempted murder, and robbery, to assist in the apprehension of his accomplices when four other suspects opened fire on the officers.

During the ensuing exchange of gunfire, Ahmed was killed. He was a proclaimed offender in multiple cases.

A search operation is currently underway in the area to apprehend the remaining suspects.
