ECP decides to seek legal advice regarding reserved seats decision
The Election Commission of Pakistan held a crucial meeting on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja to discuss the Supreme Court’s recent order regarding reserved seats.
Sources revealed that the meeting focused on reviewing the Supreme Court’s short order issued on September 14, specifically concerning the allocation of reserved seats.
The ECP also deliberated on the legislation passed by Parliament regarding these seats.
Following the discussions, the ECP decided to seek legal advice from experts on the parliamentary legislation before taking any further action.
The commission has scheduled another meeting on Thursday to continue its deliberations.
