Traffic plan announced for Chup Tazia procession in Karachi

City residents can use Kashmir Road, Shahrah-e-Quaideen, and Jail Flyover for their travels

Karachi’s traffic police have completed arrangements for the Chup Tazia processions, scheduled for September 13 (today).

The mourning procession would begin from Nishtar Park at 6:30am and would conclude at Bagh Musafir Khana Musi Lane after reaching the Husainiya Iraniyan Imambargah, where a gathering will be held.

According to the traffic police, several roads will be closed to facilitate the procession. These include Nishtar Park, Shah Khurasan, MA Jinnah Road, Saddar Dawakhana, and the linking roads to Husainiya Iraniyan Imambargah.

In Karachi, several key roads will be closed to traffic during the Chehlum procession. Tibbett Chowk, MA Jinnah Road, and Bombay Bazaar will be inaccessible to vehicles. Commuters heading from Hassan Square to Peoples Chowrangi are advised to take alternative routes.

City residents can use Kashmir Road, Shahrah-e-Quaideen, and Jail Flyover for their travels. Those traveling from Nazimabad to Lasbela Chowk can access Nishtar Road towards the Garden area.

Additionally, routes from Liaquatabad to Teen Hatti, Lasbela Chowk, and Central Jail on Martin Road will remain open. Society Light Signal is an option for those heading to Numaish, allowing access via Kashmir Road. Meanwhile, traffic will remain open on Gurumandir to Bahadur Yar Jung Road and Soldier Bazaar.

Motorists are urged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays during the procession.
