The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on September 17 (Tuesday) on the occasion of Eid-i-Miladun Nabi (12th Rabiul Awwal).

According to a notification issued by the Sindh government on Thursday, September 17, would be observed as a public holiday across the province. All educational institutions and government offices will remain closed on this day.

Prior to this announcement, both the Punjab government and the federal government had also declared a public holiday on September 17 in celebration of Eid-i-Miladun Nabi.

Moreover, the provincial government has banned pillion riding on motorcycles in various cities, including Karachi, in light of security concerns during Eid-i-Miladun Nabi and the Ashura procession for five days.
