A major development has occurred in the case involving an attack on a woman wearing Arabic clothing in Lahore’s Ichra area. The Anti-Terrorism Court has ruled to dismiss terrorism charges against the accused and has ordered the case to be moved to the Court Sessions for trial.

Judge Arshad Javed oversaw the proceedings, concluding that the terrorism charges would be dropped, allowing the case to continue in a different court.

The police have identified several individuals—Altamash Saqlain, Nadeem, Muhammad Ali (also known as Chand Butt), Malik Khurram Shehzad, and Adil Sarwar—as guilty.

Conversely, others, including Khalid Mahmood Khalid, Aleemuddin, and Allama Saqib Ali, have been cleared of wrongdoing.

This case stems from an incident in February when a woman shopping with her husband was confronted by a hostile mob due to her attire.

The crowd accused her of disrespecting sacred words, as her outfit featured the word “Halwa” written in Arabic script.

Following the incident, ASP Gulberg Shah Bano Naqvi promptly arrived at the scene and bravely intervened to rescue the woman from the mob.
