FC official martyred in Kurram attack
A Frontier Corps (FC) official was martyred and three others were injured in a terrorist attack on a security checkpoint in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to police sources, the attack occurred at an FC checkpoint manned by the Frontier Constabulary (FC) in the Marghan Tanga area of the central Kurram district. The terrorists, armed with heavy and automatic weapons, launched a surprise assault on the checkpoint.
During the attack, Naik Maib Zada, an FC soldier, was killed, while three other soldiers, Lance Naik Liaqat, Lance Naik Ishtiaq, and Lance Naik Masood, sustained injuries. The wounded soldiers have been transported to a nearby hospital.
Following the attack, security forces retaliated against the assailants, forcing them to flee the area.
Police sources have reported that attacks on security checkpoints and government property in central Kurram have been ongoing for several months.
