Five terrorists killed in CTD operation in Balochistan’s Pishin

Weapons and ammunition were also seized in the operation, says CTD

At least five terrorists affiliated with the ‘Fitna al-Khawarij’ group, erstwhile banned TTP, were killed in an operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Balochistan’s Pishin district on Friday.

Weapons and ammunition were also seized in the operation, sources within the CTD said.

The CTD received intelligence that five sharpshooters belonging to the outlawed group were “planning a terrorist attack” in the Surkhab refugee camp area of Pishin. The CTD cordoned off the area and warned the terrorists to surrender, however, the terrorists opened fire on the team and prompted a retaliatory response.

The killed terrorists were identified as Ahmadullah alias Ali alias Badri, residing in Boldak, Afghanistan; Ihsanullah alias Mutwakil alias Hamid, and Samiullah, both residents of Pishin, along with two of their associates.

CTD officials reported that from the deceased terrorists, one submachine gun, one 30-bore TT pistol, two 9mm pistols, ammunition, two hand grenades, one improvised explosive device (IED), four kilograms of explosives, a primer card, and one motorcycle were recovered.

The CTD has registered a case regarding the incident and has initiated a search for other members of the group.
