A 34-year-old bribery case has resurfaced in Bihar, with a court ordering the arrest of former constable Suresh Prasad Singh for allegedly accepting a Rs 20 bribe in 1990.

The incident occurred at the Saharsa railway station when Singh stopped a woman carrying vegetables and demanded money from her.

Special Vigilance Judge Sudesh Srivastava has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to locate and present Singh in court.

Despite the small amount involved, Singh’s actions led to prolonged legal proceedings, and he has been absconding since 1999 after failing to appear in court following the cancellation of his bail.
