Eid Milad-un-Nabi date revealed after Rabi-ul-Awwal moon not sighted

The moon was not sighted anywhere in the country

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Wednesday that the Rabi-ul-Awwal moon was not sighted anywhere in the country.

This means that Eid Milad-un-Nabi, celebrated on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, will fall on Tuesday, September 17.

The meeting was chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, and was attended by representatives from SUPARCO, the Meteorological Department, and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The central Ruet-e-Hilal committee met in the Kohsar Complex Islamabad. The committee also coordianted with zonal committees across Pakistan to sight the moon.

However, not report of the moon’s sighting was received from anywhere in the country.
