Senior leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) and former Senator Zahid Khan has announced his retirement from politics.

In a statement, he said that the current political climate has made it necessary for him to step away from active participation.

Khan further stated that politics has become too heavily influenced by money, and that he has never been involved in politics for personal gain.

He also expressed that he has been sidelined by the new leadership, leading to his decision to quietly withdraw from the party.
