The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has imposed lifetime bans on 18 officials, including former president Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, for their alleged involvement in a 2021 attack on the PFF headquarters.

The attack, which resulted in the illegal occupation of the headquarters and embezzlement of funds, led to the suspension of the PFF by international football organizations.

Among those banned is Syed Zahir Shah, a cousin of Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, who was running for president in the upcoming December elections.

The banned officials are accused of violating Article 70 of the PFF constitution by forming a parallel association, causing significant administrative complexities within the federation.

The PFF secretariat has announced criminal charges against Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, Sardar Navid Haider, and Malik Muhammad Aamir Dogar. The PFF Disciplinary and Ethics Committee has also alleged that these individuals stole the organization’s vehicles and other assets.
