Nine road projects worth Rs960m approved for Bhakkar, Khushab districts
The Divisional Development Working Party has approved nine road projects totaling Rs 960 million in the Bhakkar and Khushab districts.
The decision was made during a meeting on Wednesday, chaired by the Commissioner of the Sargodha division Jahanzeb Awan.
The meeting approved seven road construction and repair projects for Bhakkar, estimated at Rs715 million, as well as two projects for Khushab, costing Rs250 million.
It was reported that full funding has been allocated for all schemes, and they are expected to be completed this year.
The commissioner highlighted the importance of deputy commissioners personally overseeing all development projects to ensure their sustainability. He instructed officials to inform contractors that any deviation from the approved plans would not be accepted.
Additionally, Awan stated that a third-party audit would be conducted for all projects, emphasizing that even minor corruption in public welfare initiatives would not be tolerated.
