Cabinet approves Rs20 billion for operation Azm-e-Istehkam

The cabinet received a detailed briefing on the security situation

The Federal Cabinet has approved a significant Rs20 billion allocation for Operation Azm-e-Istehkam in response to the recent surge in terrorist attacks.

The decision was made during a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, where the country’s political, security, and economic situations were discussed.

The cabinet received a detailed briefing on the security situation, leading to the approval of the Rs20 billion funding for the anti-terrorism operation. This allocation was previously approved by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).

The cabinet’s decision comes after a series of deadly terrorist attacks in Balochistan, claiming the lives of nearly 50 people, including military personnel and civilians. The attacks occurred in Musakhel, Kalat, and Lasbela districts, resulting in the deaths of numerous innocent civilians.
