Renowned Pakistani fashion designer Maria B has issued an apology for copying the design of a Turkish artist for her “Palestine Collection.”

Maria B acknowledged the plagiarism in a statement posted on both her official brand Instagram account and her personal Instagram profile. She admitted that the design was copied from a Turkish artist and expressed regret for the incident.

“In this age of digital fast-paced information and viral images, such unintentional oversights can occur,” she wrote on Instagram

She apologized for copying the design and stated that she has contacted the Turkish artist to personally apologize.

The designer further announced her intention to collaborate with the young Turkish artist on the Palestine Collection to raise funds for Palestinians.

Maria B claimed that ‘some liberal individuals’ have expressed opposition to her efforts to support Palestine and have resorted to mockery and criticism.
