Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has expressed outrage over the provincial government’s decision to block Chinese tourists from entering the region.

In a statement on Tuesday, Kundi demanded a report from high-ranking officials regarding the matter and emphasised that the provincial government’s actions reflect not only “enmity towards the province but also against the country.”

He stated: “The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been intent on destroying Pakistan-China relations from day one.”

Kundi further condemned any party that “harbours terrorists” while obstructing Chinese tourists, asserting that their actions were “undoubtedly” anti-national.

He criticised the KP government, claiming it was influenced by its leader and his associates and was “actively working” to undermine the friendship between Pakistan and China.

Meanwhile, the police officials stated that foreign cyclists were sent back because of the absence of a no objection certificate (NOC). They were prevented from entering KP while attempting to travel from Punjab to Nowshera and then to Peshawar.
