Chance of light showers predicted in Karachi

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that the weather in Karachi would be partially cloudy on Monday, with the sun peeking through the light clouds. There is a chance of light showers and drizzle in the city throughout the day.

The maximum temperature in the city is expected to reach up to 32 degrees Celsius, while the current temperature is recorded at 29 degrees Celsius.

The weather reporters state that the winds are blowing from the southwest direction at a speed of 9 kilometers per hour, and the humidity level in the air is 78%.

As per the Air Quality Index (AQI), the air quality in Karachi city is better. Karachi ranks 22nd among the most polluted cities in the world and 3rd in Pakistan. The concentration of pollutant particles in the air is recorded at 79 particulate meters.

The PMD has predicted thunderstorms and rainfall in various regions of the country.

Kashmir, northeastern Punjab, the Pothohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to experience strong winds and thunderstorms with rainfall.

Thunderstorms and rainfall are expected in Islamabad and its surroundings. Rainfall with thunderstorms is also forecasted for Murree, Gilgit, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Taunsa, Leiah, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Dera Ismail Khan, and Khushab.

Rainfall is expected in Balakot, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Nowshera, Swabi, Charsadda, Mohmand, Khyber, Bajaur, Malakand, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, and Kurram.

Rainfall is also anticipated in Ziarat, Zhob, Barkhan, Musakhel, Sherani, Loralai, Quetta, Qilla Abdullah, Kalat, Khuzdar, Killa Saifullah, and Lasbela.

Yesterday, the temperature was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius in Quetta, 28 degrees Celsius in Qalat, 34 degrees Celsius in Zhob, 25 degrees Celsius in Ziarat, 3degrees Celsius in Sibi, and 35 degrees Celsius in Turbat.

Karachi, Jamshoro, Thatta, and Badin are also expected to experience thunderstorms and rainfall. Rainfall is anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, and Mansehra as well. Additionally, there are chances of strong winds and thunderstorms with rainfall in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
