Suspected Hezbollah drone spotted filming Netanyahu’s house: report
A suspected Hezbollah drone may have infiltrated northern Israel to film Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea, according to a report by Israel Hayom on Sunday.
Netanyahu and his family typically spend weekends at their private home, situated 37km south of Haifa along the Mediterranean coast.
On Friday, an Israeli Navy missile ship stationed off Caesarea detected the suspicious drone hovering in the area. The newspaper speculated that it was launched by Hezbollah to capture footage of Netanyahu’s property.
While the missile ship’s radar picked up the drone, other control systems did not register it. Despite alerts, fighter jets dispatched to investigate the situation were unable to locate the aircraft.
The Israeli army suspects it may have been a false alarm, explaining that radar systems can sometimes issue incorrect warnings, even mistaking flocks of birds for threats. However, they have not entirely dismissed the possibility of a small drone being launched from Lebanon.
Despite the absence of visual confirmation, military officials remain cautious about dismissing the possibility of a small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) having been launched from Lebanon.

According to the report, Netanyahu was not at his residence during the incident. The Prime Minister’s Office issued a brief statement confirming, “This was determined to be a false alarm.”
Hezbollah has previously released footage from its Hodhod drone, which has captured images of Israeli military bases and critical infrastructure in northern Israel.
Concerns about a potential war between Israel and Hezbollah are increasing amid a series of cross-border attacks, particularly following the assassination of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut on July 30.
