The Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced a new admission policy for colleges, which prohibits women from enrolling in men’s colleges.

The announcement by the Higher Education Department states that in the presence of women’s colleges offering BS programs, women will not be allowed to take admission in men’s colleges. This is because the quota system reduces the number of seats available for men, while on the other hand, women get seats in both women’s and men’s colleges.

The directive states that in an area where both men’s and women’s colleges offering BS programs are present, women will not be granted admission in men’s colleges.

However, in case of vacant seats, they may be allowed admission.
