The exchange of fire between the Pakistani Frontier Corps (FC) and the Afghan forces at the Torkham border has come to a halt, with the use of heavy weapons, while the firing from the Afghan forces resulted in two FC personnel being injured.

According to FC sources, the Afghan forces were constructing a road and a post near the Torkham border the previous day, and the FC authorities had prohibited the Afghan forces from construction activities in the disputed areas.
