Mohandri bridge opened after reconstruction

The bridge had been destoryed by flooding, severing the connection between Kaghan and Balakot

The Mohandri Bridge, which was destroyed by recent floods, has been rebuilt, restoring access to the Kaghan Valley. The Kaghan Valley Road, which was closed for 14 days, has also been reopened for travel to northern areas and Naran.

The bridge’s collapse had severed the connection between the Kaghan Valley and Balakot. The newly constructed bridge was inaugurated by Member of National Assembly Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Captain Safdar, and other officials.

A sacrificial animal was slaughtered and sweets were distributed to celebrate the occasion.

The closure of the Kaghan Valley Road had resulted in millions of rupees in losses for the hotel industry.
