She reportedly died of cardiac arrest

Pakistani singer and guitarist Haniya Aslam passed away early on Monday.

Although a statement from her family, Zab Bangash of the iconic ‘Zeb and Haniya’ duo confirmed the death in an Instagram post.

“Hanini ✨♥️,” Bangash wrote on Instagram with a series of photos of Aslam.

Aslam reportedly died of cardiac arrest.

The duo delivered multiple hits for Pakistan including Coke Studio’s ‘Bibi Sanam’ in 2010 that propelled the duo to mainstream fame.

Condolences poured in from fans from across the world as report of the death spread.

“I’m not sure if I started pursuing music or music started pursuing me! I’ve always been really into music, almost to the level of obsession. I vaguely remember wondering how all the musicians fit inside a cassette tape when I was 4 or 5,” she told Youlin Magazine in 2020.
