Arshad Nadeem, national hero, demands equal treatment for all sports
Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem called on the government to give the same level of priority and support to other sports in Pakistan as it does to cricket.
Nadeem, who won the first gold medal at the Olympics for Pakistan in 32 years on Thursday, said that while cricket has received significant attention and resources, other sports deserve equal opportunity to thrive.
“The government should provide the same level of priority to other sports as it does to cricket,” Nadeem stated in an interview with Aaj News.
The celebrated athlete also discussed his plans for celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day, though he did not provide specific details. Nadeem also spoke about when exactly he will be returning to Pakistan.
