A British journalist of American origin, Charles Glass, who had requested a meeting with former Prime Minister Imran Khan in jail, has been deported from Pakistan.

According to private television channels, Glass was picked up from a residence in Islamabad and taken back to the airport.

His visa has also been revoked.

Glass, a friend of the PTI founder, had traveled to Pakistan to meet with Khan.

The deportation of the journalist has raised concerns about freedom of the press and access to information in Pakistan.
