JI sit-in enters fifth day, more negotiations today

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman is expected to arrive at the protest site shortly

The Jamaat-e-Islami’s protest against inflation in Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, has entered its fifth day.

The next round of negotiations with the government is expected to take place today.

Despite monsoon rains, participants remain determined to continue their protest until their demands are met.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, is expected to arrive at the protest site shortly. Party workers are also resolute in their commitment to continue the sit-in until their demands are met.

Yesterday, the second round of negotiations with the government delegation failed to materialize.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stated that while the government talks about negotiations, they are simultaneously creating obstacles. He accused the Punjab government of not refraining from its fascist tactics.

He further stated that electricity bills are like bombs, and devastating bills are expected in August. He vowed that they would not allow the youth to lose hope in the country. A sit-in will begin in front of the Governor House in Karachi on Wednesday.
