Five people drown in sea near Hawkes Bay

Around five people had drowned in the Hawkes Bay Sea near Sandspit hut number N 104.

The police said that the people who drowned were there for a picnic on the sea.

According to the police, the drowning victims included four women and one man. The women have been identified as Asma, Sohai, Zanaib, and Noreen, while a person named Irshad is being shifted to the hospital in a critical condition.

In addition, the rescue authorities claimed that all the individuals had been taken out of the sea, while one woman and one man were in critical condition and had been taken to the hospital by ambulance.

It should be noted that earlier information had been received that 4 of the drowning victims had been rescued, while the search for the remaining 2 was ongoing.

During the two summer months of June and July, the sea experiences a surge, resulting in high waves, during this period, a large number of citizens also visit the seaside, and several tragic incidents are also reported.

Due to the surge and high waves in the sea, at the beginning of the last month, the Karachi Commissioner had imposed a ban on bathing in the sea for the next two months, but no strategy was adopted in this regard, and a large number of citizens are still visiting the sea.

The ban is in effect from June 14 to August 13, and the Karachi Commissioner had instructed the police to register a case for violating the ban. On the other hand, it has been observed that police officials are seen collecting fees from citizens going for picnics at Hawkes Bay or any other coastal area.
