Former prime minister Imran Khan has ruled out the possibility of talks with the PPP on the no-confidence motion or any other topic, alleging that the Sindh-ruling party and the PML-N were the same, BBC Urdu reported.

“There is no difference between the PPP and the PML-N as they are both products of the same ‘Form 47’,” he said in an informal conversation with reporters during the £190 million case hearing at the Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi on Saturday.

Columnist Javed Chaudhry, who appeared on Aaj News show Rubaroo on Friday, claimed that there were reports of Latif Khosa trying to settle matters between the PPP and PTI. He claimed that the former PPP leader was trying to convince Khan to sit with the Sindh-ruling party to dislodge the PML-N government.

“There will not be any talks with the PPP on any issue, including the no-confidence motion unless I want to regain power. I am willing to spend my entire life in jail and that the claims about me backing down from my stance are baseless,” the PTI founder said.

He was of the view that if the ECP does not give seats to PTI despite the SC’s decision, then Article 6 (high treason) should be imposed on the commission.

Khan once again demanded the formation of a judicial commission on May 9 events.

“Our party was already banned. We were not even allowed to contest the elections. Banning any political party is a murder of democracy,” Khan said.

The former PM criticized the government and stated that the party’s chairman, vice-chairman, and president were already in jail, yet they still threatened to ban the party.

He also criticised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, saying: “She says the judges are not right, but the judges were right when her cases were dismissed.”

Khan was of the view that the war against terrorism cannot be won without the nation’s support.

“The current rulers are not willing to cut down their own expenses and are instead demanding sacrifices from the public,” he said.
