CJCSC Gen Mirza underscores Pakistan’s commitment to ‘work closely’ with China on CPEC

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has underscored Pakistan’s commitment to “work closely” with China on CPEC, defence cooperation and regional peace and stability.

He said this while addressing the commemoration ceremony of the 97th founding day of the People’s Liberation Army of the People’s Republic of China as a Chief Guest on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.

The CJCSC congratulated the people, civilians military leadership, and all ranks of PLA, and praised the role of the army in China’s development and its rapid modernisation to become an “important force” for regional peace and stability.

In his address, CJCSC Gen Mirza highlighted the close and fraternal “All Weather Friendship” between China and Pakistan and reaffirmed commitments to further expand and deepen the relationship.

A large number of civilians and military officers, journalists, businessmen and members of the civil society attended the ceremony.
