FIR filed after explicit video from Okara University goes viral

An investigation is underway

The University of Okara has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against studenta and a female drone camera operator for “injuring the university’s reputation” after a video showing alleged immoral acts on the university’s rooftop went viral on social media.

The video, which was filmed using a drone camera, shows several students, including a male student and a female student engaging in explicit acts.

After the video went viral, the university administration took swift action. A FIR was filed against the male student, identified as Ali Raza, a BS Zoology student, and the two camera operators, Ali Shan and Somiyah, along with several unidentified individuals.

The FIR alleges that the individuals entered the university without permission and illegally filmed the immoral videos using a drone camera, subsequently spreading them on social media.

The FIR, filed by the University of Okara’s Deputy Registrar, Waqar Ahmad, states that the incident has tarnished the reputation of the university and instilled fear and panic among students and the wider community. The FIR demands the arrest of the accused to restore the university’s dignity.

In addition to the FIR, the university has suspended its Public Relations Officer and Security Officer and dismissed two daily wage employees.

The Deputy Registrar has also confirmed that an initial investigation into the matter has been conducted by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) office, with information being gathered from university officials and staff.
