The Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a “diversion plan” to manage the traffic flow amid the Tehreek-i-Labbaik (TLP) protest sit-in against Israeli aggression in Gaza at the Faizabad interchange in the federal capital.

“The people are requested to follow the given routes to avoid any inconvenience,” police said in a statement.

Heavy traffic coming from Lahore would be diverted from Rawat T-Chowk towards Rawalpindi, according to the plan.

Moreover, heavy traffic coming via GT Road from Peshawar would be diverted from Number 26 Chowki towards the Motorway and Rawalpindi.

Heavy traffic coming from Murree would be diverted from Rawal Dam Chowk towards Park Road, Lehtrar Road, and the Expressway.

“Entry of heavy traffic on IJP Road has been prohibited,” the statement said.
