The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast predicting thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rain across most parts of the country, including Islamabad, over the next 24 hours.

The PMD expects heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Similar weather conditions are anticipated in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Batagram, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Khyber, Mardan, Peshawar, and Waziristan.

The PMD also forecasts heavy rain in parts of northeastern and southern Punjab, and northeastern Balochistan. Meanwhile, the southern regions are expected to experience warm and humid weather.

The weather forecasters predict warm and humid conditions in most districts of Sindh, with partly cloudy skies and light rain in coastal areas.

Thunderstorms and rain are expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar.

Over the past 24 hours, various parts of Punjab, northeastern Balochistan, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rain. Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan saw rain in some areas, while the rest of the country experienced warm and humid weather.

The highest rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours was 50mm in Bahawalpur, followed by 40mm in Kot Adu, 29mm in DG Khan, 20mm in Layyah, and 7mm in Multan.

Balochistan recorded 36mm of rain in Barkhan, 10mm in Sibi, and 8mm in Zhob. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 4mm of rain in Dir, 3mm in Malam Jabba, 1mm in Saidu Sharif, 2mm in Bagrot, and 1mm in Astor and Bunji.

The highest temperatures recorded on Saturday were 43°C in Turbat, Dalbandin, and Nokundi, and 41°C in Shaheed Benazirabad.
