Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui sworn in as SHC chief justice
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori administered oath of office to Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui as the Sindh High Court chief justice on the premises of SHC on Saturday.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Secretary Syed Asif Haider Shah, IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and other high-level officials were also present in the oath-taking ceremony.
Later, the governor and the chief minister congratulated the new CJ Justice Mohammad Shafi Siddiqui for taking charge of the office as the CJ of SHC.
On Wednesday, President Asif Ali Zardari approved Justice Aalia Neelum’s appointment as Lahore High Court chief justice, as well as that of Justice Shafi Siddiqui as the Sindh High Court’s top judge, under Article 175-A(13) of the Constitution.
