Chief Meteorologist predicts another monsoon spell in Karachi from July 20
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz stated that the next spell of monsoon rains is expected to affect Karachi after July 20.
Sarfraz added that Karachi is currently under the influence of a moisture-laden weather system, leading to intermittent drizzle and light showers throughout the day.
“Sea breezes are likely to resume in the city from tomorrow,” he added.
The current temperature in Karachi is 35 degrees Celsius and the intensity of the heat is being felt up to 47 degrees Celsius
The maximum temperature today is expected to reach up to 37 degrees Celsius and the humidity level in the air is 57%.
The weather will remain hot and humid over the next 24 hours.
Karachi ranks 14th among the world’s most polluted cities and the 4th most polluted city in Pakistan, as per the Air Quality Index.
The particulate matter concentration in the air is recorded at 85 micrograms per cubic meter, according to the Air Quality Index.
