Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Rana Sanaullah has claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) received foreign support for the violent protests that erupted on May 9th.

Speaking on Geo News’ program “Naya Pakista,” Sanaullah claimed that the PTI was aided by external forces in orchestrating the unrest and chaos that gripped the country.

“The PTI received foreign funding for whatever they did,” Sanaullah stated. “Enemy countries want to create chaos in Pakistan through the PTI. If the cabinet decides, we can present evidence of the foreign support provided to the PTI.”

Sanaullah further criticized PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s activities while in prison, stating that the court had not granted him permission to hold political conferences or meetings from within the jail.

Imran Khan is not allowed to plan such chaos from within the jail, he said.

He also drew a parallel with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was also prohibited from meeting anyone while in prison.

Sanaullah expressed his disapproval of the PTI’s decision to hold a rally at the start of Muharram, a significant month for Shia Muslims.

“The PTI’s decision to hold a rally at the beginning of Muharram was inappropriate,” he said. “They wanted to create political chaos through this rally.”
