Pakistani boxer Shahir Afridi defeats Indian opponent to become Asian champion
Pakistani boxer Shahir Afridi Khawar defeated Indian boxer Ronit Solankhi in a professional bout held in Thailand on Saturday to become the Asian champion in the professional middleweight category.
Afridi knocked out his Solanki in the third round. In the final minutes of the round, the Pakistani boxer landed a powerful punch that caused the Indian boxer to stagger and fall in the ring.
The bout, which took place in Bangkok, was part of a series of professional boxing events in the region. Afridi’s impressive performance has once again showcased Pakistan’s prowess in the sport of boxing.
“Alhamdulliah won my fight with a huge knockout against India, thank you for the appreciation JazakAllah everyone,” he said in a Facebook post.
