Police have arrested a couple who allegedly tortured a nine-year-old child in Khwazakhela area of Swat.

The woman, a stepmother, abused the nine-year-old child in front of the child’s father.

The suspect burned the child’s body with a hot iron rod, leaving marks all over the child’s body.

After the abuse, the child would be left helpless and alone until morning.

The suspect was arrested on charges of abusing the nine-year-old child.

The Swat police have said that residents of Khwazakhela complained that a woman in their neighborhood was abusing her child.
