Another PIA steward goes missing in Canada
Another Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) steward has gone missing upon arriving in the Canadian city of Toronto. The number of crew members who have disappeared in Canada so far this year has now risen to seven.
A PIA spokesman has confirmed the disappearance of the steward, identified as Noor Shair.
He had arrived in Toronto on PIA flight 781, which had departed Islamabad the day before Eid al-Adha.
Since January 2023, a total of 14 PIA crew members have not returned after arriving in Toronto.

The spokesman stated that Noor Shair had joined PIA in 2003 and was an experienced flight attendant.
Departmental action has been initiated against the missing crew member.
Authorities say it is very easy for people to seek and obtain political asylum in Canada, and many take advantage of the leniency in the law.
