PMD predicts rain from June 26 in several cities of Pakistan

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a possibility of strong winds and rain with thunderstorms from Wednesday (tomorrow) until July 1.

The prediction is that the areas including Karachi, Hyderabad, Matiari, Sanghar, Badin, and other districts may experience intermittent heavy rainfall, with some areas seeing intense showers.

The intensity of the heat is expected to start decreasing from tomorrow, the PMD stated.

The weather in Karachi has started changing rapidly, according to PMD.

The department has issued a new advisory, suggesting a prediction of rainfall on June 26.

PMD has also forecasted rainfall in Karachi along with other cities of Sindh tomorrow.

Rain wind and thundershower is expected in Lasbella, Khuzdar, Awaran, Jhal Magsi, Kalat, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Zhob and Barkhan from 26 to 28 June in Balochistan.

Rain wind and thunderstorm is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar), Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) from 28 June to 01 July with occasional gaps.

Islamabad, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar and Mianwali can experience rain or thundershower from June 27.

Weather forecast says Karachi to get spell of heavy rain from Thursday

According to PMD, there is a possibility of heavy downpours in Karachi from June 26 to June 28.

However, the Chief Meteorologist is not in agreement with the new advisory.

The spokesperson has stated that the rains in Karachi will start from June 28.

Karachi is experiencing scorching weather, which will continue to rise in hot weather with a prediction of a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius today, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

According to the Met Office, the humidity level in the air is 51%. The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 30.5 degrees.
