PKR strengthens slightly against dollar
The Pakistani rupee showed a slight improvement against the US dollar in early trading on Tuesday, appreciating by 0.07% in the interbank market.
At 10 am, the local currency was trading at Rs278.42, gaining Rs0.20 against the greenback.
This comes after a slight decline on Monday, where the rupee closed at Rs278.62.
In recent weeks, the Pakistani rupee has generally hovered around Rs277-279 against the dollar as the country continues its efforts to secure a longer and larger bailout package from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
